In Nassarawa Unknown Gunmen Attacked Police Patrol And Killed One



According to report, a police officer have been killed by unknown gunmen after their police patrol was ambushed in Nassarawa state, Nigeria.

The sorrowful incidence was said to have occurred in Obi Local Government Area, LGA, of the state.

Report says that the disclosure was made by the state Commissioner of Police, CP, Abubakar Sadiq-Bello, on Friday, November 11, in Lafia, during a press conference.

Bello disclosed that the police patrol team was ambushed two weeks ago along Obi-Agwatashi road.

It was also learnt that the police CP remained silent on the identity and rank of the deceased.

Consoling the family of the deceased officer, Bello prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.

He said, “The Police would arrest the killers and prosecute them.

“The incident is unfortunate and part of the hazards policemen encounter in the line of duty.

“Members of the public must continually support the efforts of the police in order to curb crime and criminality in the state,” the CP concluded.
